Il nome Borlo è di origine germanica e indica che qui un tempo doveva esserci una foresta di faggi. La Chiesa di San Pietro (1835) ha sostituito una chiesa di legno provvisoria che è durata quasi duecento anni. Se la chiesa è aperta, dai un'occhiata al lavoro di carpenteria nelle navate laterali. Vicino alla chiesa di Borlo si trova il Pachthof con un accogliente terrazzo nel cortile interno.
