Il Riekend Rustpunt (= Il museo più piccolo della Sassonia Orientale.)
Il Riekend Rustpunt è un piccolo museo, unico in Fiandra, che mette in luce un aspetto completamente sconosciuto e poco studiato della storia: il trasporto di letame via acqua dalla città alla campagna.
Sotto il titolo ‘Dalla merda cittadina alla terra sabbiosa’ c'è una mostra permanente, dedicata al commercio di letame e orina dal XVII secolo fino a qualche anno nei primi anni '30 del secolo scorso. Le città avevano grandi problemi di rifiuti e letame e l'ambiente circostante poteva utilizzare bene questi prodotti per la fertilizzazione dei terreni agricoli. Lungo le vie d'acqua si sviluppò quindi un commercio vivace tra la città e l'ambiente circostante.
