Si tratta di uno dei blocchi di ancoraggio delle originarie "torri" del parco delle antenne con 8 alberi di 284 metri di altezza , posti a 400 metri l'uno dall'altro. Avevano una base di 2,5 per 2,5 metri ed erano tenuti dritti con 28 cavi di tensione.
Il 30 dicembre 1933 un aereo della linea Colonia-Bruxelles-Londra si schiantò contro uno degli alberi e due terzi del molo alto 284 metri si schiantarono.
Una notte del giugno 1940, un bombardiere tedesco si schiantò contro la torre sud-orientale. La torre e l'aereo sono precipitati.
Nell'agosto del 1940 un'ala di un bombardiere tedesco colpì un cavo e si schiantò, quindi si decise di abbattere completamente quattro torri e due parzialmente. L'ultimo pezzo d'albero fu abbattuto il 23 luglio 1979.
