Nel 1614 gli Alessio si stabilirono nell'antico ospizio della Santissima Trinità.
Si prendevano cura dei malati e dei pazzi. All'inizio del XVIII secolo costruirono un nuovo monastero con cappella e cortile: il monastero di Cellebroeder.
Nel 1755 i fratelli furono costretti a cedere parte dei loro terreni per la costruzione dell'attuale caserma Dossin . Nel 1798 ci furono difficoltà con gli occupanti francesi; Il monastero fu venduto e riacquistato dai monaci nel 1801. Tuttavia, gran parte dell'arredo della chiesa era scomparso . Dal 1908 divenne convento francescano.
Tra il 1997 e il 2005 l'associazione no-profit Emmaüs ha fatto restaurare il complesso. L'ala ovest del monastero è attualmente utilizzata come centro giovanile e comunitario.
Le attuali quattro ali del chiostro si raggruppano attorno ad un cortile rettangolare con la cappella e la sacrestia a sud-est.
