Le Ardenne belghe offrono molti sentieri idillici per escursionisti appassionati e amanti della natura. Una delle passeggiate brevi più impressionanti che ho fatto negli ultimi anni è senza dubbio la valle del Hoëgne vicino a Solwaster (Jalhay), nella regione vallona del Belgio. L'area è romantica e aspra allo stesso tempo con le sue numerose cascate idilliche, ponti di legno, foreste e campi.
