Cosa limitata, contesto storico e geografico Il comune di fusione di Ruisbroek si è sviluppato presso uno dei fiumi più importanti del Brabante, la Zenne. Questi toponimi sono importanti prove delle precedenti attività agricole: un ‘broek’ è una palude, drenata dal lavoro umano e trasformata in pascolo, e ‘rusch’ o ‘ruisch’ è una specie di giunco che cresce in acqua.
