Il monastero di Hofen, conosciuto anche come Castello di Friedrichshafen, è un ex monastero benedettino sul Lago di Costanza, nel territorio dell'attuale città di Friedrichshafen.
Il monastero di Hofen fu fondato intorno al 1085 dalla consorte del conte Otto I di Buchhorn, Berta, come monastero per benedettine. La vicina chiesa parrocchiale di San Andrea e Pantaleone dei
conti di Buchhorn fu sottoposta al monastero. Intorno al 1100, i Welfen lo passarono al loro monastero familiare, il monastero di Weingarten, che inviò un priore per la sua direzione. Nel 1215 la chiesa fu ricostruita. Nel XIII secolo il monastero assunse il nome di monastero di Hofen dal vicino villaggio. Il distretto del monastero era soggetto – insieme all'omonimo villaggio – alla giurisdizione dei conti di Schmalegg-Ittendorf.
