Il Kennedybrücke e lo Sturmflutsperrwerk sono un'opera idraulica combinata a Bremerhaven. Il ponte levatoio attraversa il fiume Geeste. L'opera di sbarramento protegge la città dalle inondazioni causate dalle tempeste.
Poco più a valle dell'Alte Geestebrücke, il ponte fu costruito a partire dal 1960. Come ponte levatoio a un'ala con sei corsie di traffico, allevia il carico dell'Alte Geestebrücke. Con una luce di passaggio di 24 m, consente il traffico marittimo verso i cantieri navali ormai chiusi lungo il Geeste e verso la via navigabile Elbe-Weser. Il ponte è largo 28,4 m. La campata del ponte è lunga 29,3 m e può essere sollevata meccanicamente fino a Beaufort 9. Dopo l'assassinio di John F. Kennedy nel 1963, il 30 gennaio 1964 prese il suo nome. Attraverso il ponte transitano le linee VBN 440, 508, 509, HL e S.
