La chiesa di Santa Maria a Großenkneten è la chiesa parrocchiale della comunità evangelico-luterana di Großenkneten, che appartiene al circuito ecclesiastico di Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land della Chiesa evangelico-luterana di Oldenburg.
Si presume che a Großenkneten sia stata fondata una chiesa già nel IX secolo. Scavi hanno rivelato edifici precedenti risalenti al periodo antecedente l'anno 1000 e circa il 1300. Dalle fonti scritte si evince che esistette un edificio ecclesiastico romanico, che fu ampliato nel XV secolo.
