Il campo di sepoltura per bambini nel Nuovo Cimitero di Giessen per bambini deceduti non soggetti all'obbligo di sepoltura è stato inaugurato nel 1999 in una nuova area appositamente creata del Nuovo Cimitero di Giessen. In una posizione centrale nel campo di sepoltura si trova la scultura "Geborgen" dell'artista Heide-Birgitt Theiß.
Il Nuovo Cimitero di Giessen si trova a Rodtberg, nel nord della città. Il campo di sepoltura per bambini è stato allestito nella sezione del cimitero XIV, nel nord-ovest del cimitero.
