Lo Stadtmuseum Simeonstift Trier è un versatile museo cittadino che presenta l'arte e la storia culturale di Treviri dal Medioevo al XXI secolo .
Ospitato in un monastero romanico dell'XI secolo accanto alla Porta Nigra , il museo offre una ricca collezione di dipinti, sculture, oggetti di artigianato, tessuti copti, mobili e oggetti d'arte dell'Asia orientale.
La collezione permanente comprende circa 900 oggetti che illustrano i 2000 anni di storia di Treviri. Tra i pezzi forti , filmati originali dello Steipe e della fontana di San Pietro , la croce del mercato del X secolo, modelli urbani di Treviri intorno al 1800 e dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, e il "Trier-Kino" con circa 80 cortometraggi dal 1904 a oggi.
