Il Louvre e la sua piramide sono stati rappresentati mentre venivano distrutti nelle scene di apertura del film del 2004, Team America: World Police. È stato anche presentato nel film del 2006, Il codice Da Vinci. La troupe cinematografica ha avuto il permesso di girare all'interno del Louvre per parte del film. Mentre alcune delle scene che sembravano essere nel Louvre erano in realtà sul set, la maggior parte delle scene nell'area principale del museo sono state girate sul posto.
