All'ingresso della valle della Thur, ai piedi dei Vosgi, la città di Thann vi accoglie in un ambiente urbano accogliente che vi invita a fare una passeggiata.
Il centro storico si sviluppa intorno alla Collégiale Saint-Thiébaut, un gioiello di architettura gotica costruito tra il XIII e il XV secolo, e ai piedi delle rovine del Castello di Engelbourg. Passeggiate lungo le sue stradine e scoprite i suoi segreti e il suo ricco patrimonio: le case del XVI secolo, le fontane, gli orifici, le torri e le fortificazioni del XIV e XV secolo, le banchine del fiume Thur? Se volete ammirare la città dall'alto, una passeggiata di 20 minuti vi porterà alle rovine del Château de l'Engelbourg, l'occhio della strega che veglia sulla città.
Thann, porta meridionale della Strada del Vino dell'Alsazia, vanta una lunga tradizione vitivinicola grazie ai famosi vigneti di Rangen, tutti classificati come Grand Cru. Fa parte della rete delle 100 deviazioni più belle di Francia.
