Achill Island è l'isola più grande al largo dell'Irlanda. Fa parte della Contea di Mayo, nella Repubblica d'Irlanda, ed è situata a ridottissima distanza dalle coste occidentali della propria contea.
È collegata, infatti, alla terraferma da un piccolo ponte levatoio, il Michael Davitt Bridge, tra i villaggi di Achill Sound e Polranny.
