L'Infirmary del Nord è stato il primo ospedale generale ad aprire a Cork. Inizialmente con soli 24 letti, si è poi espanso fino a 115 letti. È stato utilizzato come ospedale per la febbre durante la carestia, ha ospitato soldati irlandesi feriti nella Prima Guerra Mondiale e ha trattato in segreto i repubblicani feriti durante la Guerra di Indipendenza. L'infirmario ha chiuso le sue porte il 26 novembre 1987 ed è ora un hotel.
