L’Italia nord-orientale, o semplicemente Nord-est, è quella parte di territorio dell'Italia Settentrionale che nella definizione dell'Istat, adottata in seguito anche dall'Eurostat, comprende le regioni Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino-Alto Adige e Veneto, con le ultime tre denominate anche Tre Venezie o Triveneto.
Confina a nord con l'Austria e la Svizzera, ad est con la Slovenia, a sud con la Liguria, la Toscana, le Marche ed il piccolo Stato di San Marino, ad ovest con la Lombardia e, per un brevissimo tratto col Piemonte. L'Emilia-Romagna, il Friuli-Venezia Giulia e il Veneto sono bagnati dal mare Adriatico.
