Questa chiesa è stata costruita nel 1862, l'architetto era J. van Mansfeld. Un'importante ampliamento seguì nel 1924, quando il vecchio coro fu dismesso e venne costruita una nuova nave in stile neogotico e un coro in stile espressionista trasversalmente rispetto alla vecchia navata da Dom Bellot.
La chiesa fu gravemente danneggiata dai violenti conflitti nel 1944 per poi essere ripristinata. Il vecchio coro fu demolito nel 1957. Nella chiesa ora c'è spazio per il consiglio parrocchiale, uno studio medico e una casa del popolo.
