Del Castello di Tilburg non è rimasto nulla, a parte una porta in possesso di Woninginrichting Donders. Nel luogo dove sorgeva, sono visibili i contorni delle fondazioni in mattoni. Poco più in là, in Hasseltstraat, si trova ancora uno dei due cortili del castello.
Nel 1754, l'allora proprietario, Gijsbertus Steenbergensis conte di Hogendorp van Hofwegen, fece abbattere il castello, che già esisteva a metà del 15° secolo. Al suo posto, costruì un nuovo edificio. Anche questo venne abbattuto, nel 1859, da colui che lo aveva acquistato dai Van Hogendorp, il commerciante di vini Johannes van der Made di Klundert. La fabbrica di tessuti N. Pessers & Zonen, costruita nel 1876, fu demolita nel 1977.
Gli scavi del 1978-1980 portarono alla luce migliaia di reperti archeologici.
