La stazione Heemstede-Aerdenhout è l'unica stazione ferroviaria nel comune di Heemstede e si trova sulla Vecchia Linea, tra Leiden e Haarlem, accanto al Leidsevaart.
La stazione è situata nel luogo del vecchio casello di Heemstede sul Leidsevaart. Fu aperta inizialmente come fermata "impostata" nel 1872 e chiusa dopo 8 anni. Successivamente, fu riaperta il 1 ottobre 1891 come fermata Zandvoortsche Laan, che fu chiusa di nuovo nel 1903. Nel 1928 fu aperta la fermata "Heemstede-Aerdenhout", che nel 1958 fu sostituita dall'attuale stazione viadotto. Questa stazione è stata progettata dall'architetto delle stazioni Koen van der Gaast.
