Il 13 settembre 1931, nella Breezand, la chiesa parrocchiale di San Giovanni Evangelista, progettata da Herman de Vries, fu solennemente benedetta dal decano Guilonard di Schagen. Questa chiesa esiste ancora.
A Breezand, dal 30 aprile 1993, si trova il Museo Anna Paulowna. Nel museo si tratta il prosciugamento della piana di Anna Paulowna e la coltivazione dei bulbi floreali intorno a Breezand. Viene anche prestata attenzione alla regina Anna Paulowna, che dà il nome alla piana.
