Il rabelo è un'imbarcazione da carico senza chiglia, progettata appositamente per trasportare barili di Porto attraverso il selvaggio Duero fino alle cantine di Porto.

Oggigiorno i barco-rabelos sono stati superati dal trasporto su strada, ma è ancora possibile fare un giro in barca a Pinhão su una di queste imbarcazioni. Si parte da Pinhão, si passa sotto il ponte di ferro Eiffel risalendo il fiume fino alla zona di Roncão , dove si fa ritorno a Pinhão. Lungo il percorso si ammirano colline con vigneti terrazzati che scendono fino al fiume, senza strade statali o traffico in vista.
