Melk is een stadje en gemeente in de Oostenrijkse deelstaat Neder-Oostenrijk, gelegen in het district Melk. De gemeente heeft ongeveer 5200 inwoners.Melk heeft een oppervlakte van 25,71 km². Het ligt in het centrum van het land, ten westen van de hoofdstad Wenen. De plaats ligt aan de rechteroever van de Donau, die bij Melk via de Donaubrug overgestoken kan worden. De rivieren de Pielach en de Melk monden bij de plaats Melk in de Donau uit.
