De Duiventoren vormde een onderdeel van de vroegere augustijnerabdij die eind de 11de eeuw werd gesticht en werd opgeheven tijdens de Franse Revolutie. De Duiventoren werd gebouwd in 1710 en was volgens een legende bedoeld als verrassing voor abt Fraeys bij zijn terugkomst na zijn tocht naar Rome. De Duiventoren telt 1132 nesthokjes.
