De legende rond deze kapel vertelt dat een stomme jongeman zijn stem terugkreeg door op deze plaats te bidden voor een Mariabeeldje. Stoepekapel zou al in de 16e eeuw een bedevaartsplaats geweest zijn en deze kapel zou dateren van 1613. In het groen rondom de kapel tel je 15 ommegangkapelletjes met afbeeldingen van de Mysteriën van O.L.Vrouw.
