Dit arboretum werd in 1937 aangeplant door Robert Lenoir, een gepassioneerde dendroloog. Het wordt beschouwd wordt als het voornaamste in Wallonië dankzij de diversiteit en de zeldzaamheid van de soorten en variëteiten, De collectie telt momenteel 4.200 planten afkomstig uit heel de wereld. Het 40 ha grote domein strekt zich uit langs de Ourthe en over de bossen van Arlogne. Het Waalse Gewest verenigt hier twee referentiecollecties: de lijsterbesfamilie (sorbus) en de kardinaalsmutsfamilie (euonymus). Het arboretum maakt deel uit van het Waalse openbaar burgerlijk Erfgoed.
