Na een tiental jaren brouwen en 2 jaar brouwerijschool in Gent, besloten Frank en Inge om aan hun hobby meer leven te geven en dit te combineren met een degustatielokaal.

Speciaal hiervoor bouwden ze het café en brouwerij in Olmen. Alle bieren worden trouwens binnen de muren van De Schieve gebrouwen en gebotteld. Ze worden gedronken in de zelf gevormde "schieve" glazen.
