De Belliardstraat is hier opvallend smal (en rustig) omdat de tunnel naar Leuven het overgrote deel van het verkeer opslokt. Het plein zelf ligt aan de Etterbeekse Steenweg, die parallel met de Maalbeek de vroegere dorpskernen van Elsene, Etterbeek en Sint-Joost verbindt. Jarenlang was dit plein een permanente bouwwerf. Maar de laatste jaren is het hier door de vele nieuwe woningen, horeca en winkels aangenaam om te vertoeven. Op de hoek helemaal rechts vooraan valt het grote café-restaurant Grand Central op, bekend voor zijn internationale sfeer. Van op de eerste verdieping heb je een mooi zicht.
