Deze herdenkingsbank met gegraveerde namen en een propellermotief in het hout, naast een informatiebord waarin hun verhaal wordt herdacht, werd ingehuldigd in 2014 ter nagedachtenis van de 70-jarige bevrijding van Dudzele.
Op 7 juli 1940 stortte een Bristol Blenheim IV van het Britse 15 Squadron neer tijdens een verkenningsvlucht tussen Terneuzen, Gent en Zeebrugge. Het toestel werd onderschept door Messerschmitt Bf 109-jagers en stortte neer vlakbij de Herdersbrug over het kanaal te Dudzele. 2 bemanningsleden probeerden zicht nog te redden met hun parachute maar stortten te pletter. De piloot werd terug gevonden in zijn cockpit.
