De Lukmanierpas vormt de verbinding tussen de kantons Graubünden (Disentis/Mustér) en Tessin (Biasca). De pas is 1.914 m hoog en de paslengte bedraagt 65 km. De pas is de scheiding tussen het Reto-Romaanse en het Italiaanse taalgebied. Passo del Lucomagno is afgeleid van het Latijnse “Lucus magnus” hetgeen groot bos betekent. Het natuurpark van de Lukmanierpas wordt gekenmerkt door alpenweiden, moerassen en naaldbossen met arven en lariksen.
