De Garather Mühlenbach is een ongeveer 10 kilometer lange stroom. Hij raakt de Noordrijn-Westfalen steden Solingen, Hilden en Düsseldorf.
De Garather Mühlenbach ontspringt in twee bronnen in een bosgebied tussen Bauermannsheide, het Solingse Vogel- en Dierenpark en het voormalige Stadion aan de Hermann-Löns-Weg in het westen van de Solingse wijk Ohligs. In zijn bovenloop wordt hij op Solingse grondgebied ook Kalversterzer Bach genoemd en stroomt hij daar 20 meter onder een hoogspanningslijn in een buis. Ten westen van Brabant vormt de beek de natuurlijke stadsgrens tussen Solingen en Hilden.
