Het zweefvliegterrein Daun-Senheld ligt op een bergrug direct tussen twee Eifelmaaren op het grondgebied van de gemeente Mehren in de Landkreis Vulkaneifel in Rheinland-Pfalz.
In de jaren dertig bestond er al een zweefvliegschool op de Radersberg in de buurt van Daun, die na de oorlog eind 1945 werd opgeheven. In 1957 werd er door regionale piloten een aeroclub opgericht en werd er op de Senheld een zweefvliegterrein aangelegd, dat tegenwoordig wordt beheerd door de Segelflugverein Vulkaneifel e.V. Het terrein is geleidelijk uitgebreid. In 1977 werd de baan geasfalteerd. Nadat in het begin alleen lierenstarten mogelijk waren, was er zo ook de mogelijkheid van sleepstart.
