Lauscha is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Thüringen en maakt deel uit van de Landkreis Sonneberg. Lauscha telt 3.463 inwoners. De stad is vooral bekend vanwege haar glasblazers handwerk.
Lauscha ligt in het Thüringer leisteengebergte tussen de steden Sonneberg, Ilmenau en Saalfeld. De stad bevindt zich in een noordoostelijk zijdal van de Steinach onderaan de bergkam. Het station Lauscha ligt op een hoogte van 611 m. NN, het zuidelijkste punt aan de monding van de Göritz in de Steinach op 515 m. boven NN. De Pappenheimer Berg reikt tot 834,5 m. boven NN.
