In 2014 is er opgeruimd in het bos en op de paden, is er stabilgrind gelegd zodat je met een mountainbike kunt rijden. Er is ook een zeshoekig picnicgebouw gebouwd.
Het bos heeft een lange geschiedenis, men weet onder andere dat het door de Duitsers werd gebruikt om soldaten te trainen in het camoufleren van hun voertuigen tijdens de oorlog. Deze gaten zijn nog steeds zichtbaar in het bos.
Er zijn ook 2 shelters bij het meer geplaatst. Er is een kampvuurplaats gemaakt en er is vrij gebruik van hout als je een kampvuur wilt maken. Toiletten kunnen worden gebruikt bij het tennisclubhuis.
