Het Real Monasterio de Santa María de Veruela is een cisterciënzers abij uit de 12e eeuw, gelegen in de buurt van Vera de Moncayo, in Tarazona en het Moncayo, Zaragoza, Aragón, Spanje.
In 1141 schonken Pedro de Atarés en zijn moeder de valleien van Veruela en Maderuela, rondom de rivier Huecha en op enkele kilometers ten noordwesten van Borja, aan de Franse monniken van de Abadía de Escaladieu, zodat zij een klooster onder de bescherming van de Maagd Maria konden stichten.[a] De cisterciënzersorde gaf echter pas in 1146 toestemming voor de stichting,[b] waardoor het klooster het oudste cisterciënzers klooster van Aragón is.[3][5][6] De schenking werd in 1155 bevestigd door Ramón Berenguer IV.[7][3]
