Kom en ontdek het gemeentemuseum van Châteauroux, gevestigd in een 18e-eeuws herenhuis dat ooit toebehoorde aan generaal Bertrand, een metgezel van Napoleon I. De rondleiding gaat door 21 zalen. Dit kunst- en historisch museum heeft collecties van de Oudheid tot nu, waaronder een Egyptische mummie, een rariteitenkabinet, kunst uit de Middeleeuwen en de Renaissance, Nederlandse en Vlaamse schilderijen, een Empire-collectie en Schone Kunsten uit de 19e en 20e eeuw. Er zijn twee tijdelijke tentoonstellingen gepland voor 2024.
