Lychnarakia (λυχναράκια) zijn kleine, zoete kaaspasteitjes. Ze zijn typisch afkomstig van het Griekse eiland Kreta. Open, handgevormde taartjes waarbij het deeg langs de randen kunstig met de vingers wordt geplooid en ingeknepen (“pietes”). De naam is afgeleid van lychnari (olielampje), vanwege de gelijkenis in vorm.
De vulling is gemaakt met verse, zachte en ongezouten zoete mizithra-kaas (of anthotyro), gemengd met ei, suiker en vaak op smaak gebracht met kaneel, vanille of citroenraspte. Ze worden traditioneel vooral met Pasen gebakken, maar zijn tegenwoordig het hele jaar door in bakkerswinkels te vinden.
