Het Shee Alms House werd in 1582 opgericht door de Shee-familie 'om twaalf arme personen onder te brengen' in de stad Kilkenny, Ierland. Het is een nationaal significant Almshuis uit de Tudor-periode.
Sir Richard Shee stichtte het almshuis, oorspronkelijk het Ziekenhuis van Jezus genaamd, tijdens de periode waarin de familie een krachtige koopmansfamilie in Kilkenny was. Hij creëerde het huis in 1582 en schonk het in zijn laatste testament in 1603. Lucas Shee, zijn zoon, regelde een koninklijk charter voor het Almshuis dat op 4 november 1609 werd verleend. In 1752 werd het almshuis verkocht door zijn afstammeling Edmond Shee. De familie werd onteigend tijdens de Cromwelliaanse periode. Ze herwonnen echter de controle en macht in de 18e eeuw. Sir Nicholas Power O'Shee van Gardenmorris, Co. Waterford hernam het eigendom van het huis in 1756 en het functioneerde als almshuis tot 1830.
