Wat verder ligt de krijtrots van Heimans.
Dat is een geologisch monument dat het best zichtbaar is in de wintermaanden. De voormalige mergelgroeve is nu omheind en daarmee verboden om te betreden. Er komen hier resten uit het Belemniet aan de oppervlakte. Dit is een zachte fijnkorrelige kalksteen die hier ongeveer 73-69 miljoen jaar geleden op de zeebodem werd afgezet.
Eli Heimans, beschreef dit voor het eerst in 1911, daaraan ontleent het geologisch monument ook zijn naam.
De kalkwand van de groeve heeft een hoogte van ongeveer 25 meter.
