De bosrijke route voert je dwars door het Nationaal Park Veluwezoom. Dit bestaat uit een groot aantal landgoederen dat door Natuurmonumenten is aangekocht. Eerst loop je door de heuvelachtige Onzalige Bosschen, die vroeger tot het jachtdomein van de Prinsen van Oranje behoorden. Op dit gedeelte van de route moet je flink klimmen en dalen. Vervolgens ontdek je de indrukwekkende heide bij de Posbank en de Zijpenberg.
Vanaf de Posbank en de Zijpenberg sla je af richting station Velp.
