Rincon Island is een klein 2,3-acre kunstmatig eiland gelegen voor Rincon Beach in Ventura County, Californië, op openbaar land dat is verhuurd van de California State Lands Commission. Het eiland ligt ongeveer 3.000 voet voor de kust in 55 voet water. Het eiland is gebouwd in 1958 voor het specifieke doel van boorwerkzaamheden en olie- en gasproductie. Het ligt nabij de kustgemeenschappen Mussel Shoals en La Conchita. Het eiland is verbonden met het vasteland via de Richfield Pier.
De Rincon-basin-eigendommen beslaan ongeveer 1.700 mineral acres, inclusief een 2,3-acre eiland dat verbonden is met land via een 2.700 voet lange oeververbinding met de gas- en olie pijpleidingen en het vergemakkelijken van voertuigen toegang. Greka Energy, het oliebedrijf dat momenteel op de locatie opereert, heeft te maken gehad met tal van veiligheids- en vergunningsovertredingen.
