Møllen var oprindeligt en dobbeltmølle, der fungerede som skorsmølle og oliemølle på den ene side, og kornmølle på den anden. I kornmøllen blev der primært malet boghvede og rug. I 1926 blev olie/skorsmøllen nedrevet. Senere blev der udført dendrokronologisk undersøgelse af fundamentpælene, hvoraf det viste sig, at de stammer fra begyndelsen af det 8. århundrede, hvilket gjorde møllens placering til en af de ældste i Belgien.
