Fængslet i Saalfeld/Saale er et tidligere fængsel i Saalfeld/Saale. Bygningen bruges i dag som byarkiv og er beskyttet som et monument. I folkemunde kaldes det ofte Hutschachtel på grund af sin markante bygning.
Den tårnformede rundbygning blev bygget som fængsel efter planerne fra den meiningiske landmåler Carl Rudolf Tröger fra 1857 til 1859 og kostede 14500 gylden. Den 25. november 1859 fandt overdragelsen som Amtsgefängnis sted til hertugdømmet Sachsen-Meiningen. I maj 1917 fandt den sidste henrettelse sted, men efter kapitulationen af Tyskland og besættelsen af Saalfeld af den Røde Hær i 1945 blev der stadig udført skydninger. På grund af bombeangreb blev 22 af 43 fanger midlertidigt løsladt i april 1945.
