Louth er en landsby i hjertet af County Louth, Irland. Den ligger cirka 11 km sydvest for byen Dundalk, 10,9 km til den nærliggende by Ardee. Landsbyen ligger cirka 15 km sydøst for Carrickmacross by i County Monaghan. Landsbyen gav sit navn til countyet.
Landsbyen er opkaldt efter Lugh, en gud fra det gamle irske, og har muligvis engang været stedet for et helligdom dedikeret til guden. Historisk set blev stedet stavet på forskellige måder såsom; "Lughmhagh", "Lughmhadh" og "Lughbhadh". Den første menes at betyde "Lughs slette" eller "Lughs mark", men betydningen af de to andre er uklar. Lú er den moderne forenklede stavemåde.
