Groenendaal liegt im Herzen des Zoniënwalds. Vor etwa sieben Jahrhunderten fanden hier Augustinermönche die Stille und Ruhe für ein kontemplatives Leben. Diese Wanderung folgt den Fußstapfen des flämischen Mystikers Jan van Ruusbroec (1293-1381), auch 'der Wundervolle' genannt, und beginnt und endet am Bosmuseum (dem alten Priorijhof, Duboislaan, 2, Hoeilaart) Jan van Ruusbroec.
