Groenendaal is located in the middle of the Sonian Forest. About seven centuries ago, Augustinian monks found silence and tranquility for a contemplative life. This walk follows in the footsteps of the Flemish mystic Jan van Ruusbroec (1293-1381), also called "the Miraculous" and begins and ends at the Forest Museum (the former Priorijhoeve, Duboislaan, 2, Hoeilaart) Jan van Ruusbroec.
