Das Anne-Frank-Haus ist das Haus, in dem die jüdische Anne Frank während des Zweiten Weltkriegs versteckt war, bevor sie nach einem Aufenthalt in Auschwitz an Typhus starb. 1940 zog die Familie Frank in das Haus an der Prinsengracht, just als die Deutschen in die Niederlande einmarschierten. Die Familie schloss sich im Hinterhaus der Wohnung ein, wo Anne im Alter von 13 Jahren begann, ihr Tagebuch zu schreiben. Da das Haus ziemlich komplex aufgebaut ist, mit einer schmalen Fassade, aber einem tiefen Hinterbau, konnten die Deutschen nicht herausfinden, dass eine ganze Familie im Hinterhaus versteckt war. Vier Jahre lang lebte Anne in dem Haus. Neben dem Haus wurde jetzt das Anne-Frank-Museum errichtet.
