Wanneperveen ist ein Dorf im Nordwesten der niederländischen Provinz Overijssel, das etwa 7 Kilometer westlich von Meppel liegt und Teil der Gemeinde Steenwijkerland ist.
Der Name Wanneperveen wird 1284 erstmals in offiziellen Dokumenten erwähnt. Das Dorf feierte daher 1984 sein 700-jähriges Bestehen. Der Name Wanneperveen verweist einerseits auf das Moor, andererseits auf einen kleinen Fluss, der früher am Ort des Dorfes floss: wan bedeutet wenig und epe oder apa bedeutet Wasser.
