The Wengern West station is a former stopping point in the Ruhr Valley in the district of Wengern in Wetter. The Elbschetalbahn from Witten station to Schwelm station along the Ruhr and the Elbsche was completed between 1910 and 1934. The station was opened on May 15, 1934. Passenger traffic on the route was discontinued on November 30, 1979. After freight traffic had also been discontinued in 1980, the line in this section was decommissioned in 1983 and subsequently dismantled.
