Villers, una pequeña aldea en Condrusian que se remonta al período neolítico, tuvo su primer desarrollo en la época romana. De hecho, la aldea estaba situada cerca de la carretera romana que une Tongeren con Arlon. Es esta influencia romana la que le da su nombre. El topónimo Villers (en realidad Vilé) proviene del latín "villare", derivado de la palabra villa. Primero se refiere a un terreno dependiente de una villa, luego sucesivamente a una granja, un caserío y una aldea.
