Gust Gils, 'La urbanización interior'
Edificio neoclásico con inspiración en el renacimiento florentino (del arquitecto de la ciudad Louis Roelandt) en el lugar del antiguo monasterio de Recoletos, en la confluencia de Leie y Ketelvaart. La monumental 'Salle des pas perdus' se perdió en el devastador incendio de 1926. Dentro de la ruta de la poesía, símbolo de la defensa de las víctimas y los acusados.
Gust Gils (1924-2002) escritor de prosa flamenco, poeta y artista plástico. Co-fundador de la revista vanguardista Gard Sivik. Su obra es crítica social, satírica y grotesca. Una muestra de su poesía en Mi trabajo olvidado por el deber (1994), sus breves obras 'paraproza' las publicó en unos siete libros. Premio trienal de la Comunidad Flamenca 1996. Diseño plástico del poema por el artista belga Paul Van Gyseghem (1935)
